Preschool

Jack started preschool this month. I still can't believe he's old enough for preschool but he is enjoying it! I drop him off in the morning and Grandma picks him up in the afternoon. He knows he is going to see "Miss Tarrah" and meeting new friends. We get a daily note with his mood for the day, how much he ate and how long he naps. I love the great notes!

New desk

Dustin and I took last week off work to get some stuff done around the house. The boys spent some time with Grandma Sally and Grandpa Fritz, so we had time to work. We painted the majority of the downstairs level and built a new desk for my office. The desk turned out great!! Dustin built everything from scratch! Here are the pictures from the project.

Fall festival

This weekend was the fall festival here in Zionsville. We took the boys into town to watch the parade on Main Street and then went down to the park. The boys love seeing the fire trucks and police cars, they didn't care for much of the rest of the parade! I didn't get too many pictures but a couple before the parade started.

Trying out the blogger app...

So, I've downloaded the blogger app in hopes that it'll allow me to post all the pictures from our phones much easier! We will see. Now for updates on the kids

Jack- it is hard to believe he is going to be 3 in less than 2 months. He's doing so well and becoming such a big boy. Here are some of his favorite things: playing outside(he wants to go out as soon as he wakes up), playing golf, talking about either basketball or football, riding his tricycle, anything to do with horses! Milestones: potty trained(daytime), sleeping in a big boy bed, dressing/undressing himself. Talking in sentences and remembering everything!!

Reid- loves watching and trying to keep up with his big brother, playing outside, the sandbox, throwing food on the floor, drinking(tons) milk. Milestones-running, throwing a ball, climbing, saying tons of words, signing more.

They are keeping us busy, busy, busy! We are looking forward to new exciting things this fall, Jack is starting preschool after his birthday and Reid will be able to have some personal time with Grandma or Mommy depending upon the day!

I'm at least going to update our header tonight and then need to get back into blogging, if I can only figure out how to get all the pics off of our Iphones and into blogger...anyone have any tips for me??!!

Too long

Its been too long since I've blogged. Between the boys, work, and weekend craziness I haven't had time! Reid had a great 1st birthday party! We celebrated it with wonderful friends and family. He enjoyed his cake and playing with his grandpas!! He's walking everywhere now and barely crawls. Jack is doing well with potty training, we are still having a hard time getting him to gain weight, and he's talking up a storm!! We just keep growing at amazing rates. I will upload pictures soon!!

Potty Training

We've been working on "potty training" with Jack for close to a month now...he's doing rather well.  There are still accidents...which is to be expected (I think) but overall this kid is rocking it.  He seems to be understanding when he has to go and for the most part makes it to the bathroom/potty.  We are definitely going through less diapers and he's holding when he's out in public and in his pull-ups.  We did teach him about going "pee" outside...hopefully he won't be one of those kids who drops his drawers on the playground.  No matter what, we are so proud of him!!!  It's amazing how quickly he learns new things and seemingly understands the concept.  He's such a big boy!!

Happy 1st Birthday Reid!!

Happy 1st Birthday Reid!  it has been a great year!  You are becoming such a big boy with a fun personality.  We enjoy watching you discover your surroundings.  It's hard to believe you are turning 1 already...It seems like it was just yesterday when you arrived...ready to join the family!!  Happy Birthday little man!!

11 months...

Time is flying by way too fast. Reid is now 11 months old. I still haven't taken his 11 month picture yet. He is such a busy, busy boy. He definitely has a strong personality and so talkative. He's started taking a few steps and loves going down the slide head first!!

He is starting to fight back against his brother and holding his own when he needs to.

10 months old!!

Mr. Reid is now 10 months old!!  It's amazing how time flies when you are having fun!  He's a busy boy lately!  Trying to stand, crawling everywhere, and crusing/pulling up to everything!  He is trying to work out his own cheesy smile just like his big brother's.  He has 3 full teeth and another 3 have poked through now...looks like 2 more are close, pretty soon he'll have a mouth full of 8 teeth!

Slacking on my blog posts

So, it's official, I'm a slacker.  I haven't updated the blog as regularly as I used to.  I have tons of pictures of the boys to update, a year in review post to complete and I haven't done any of it.  There is so much going on lately that I don't have much time to get anything done!  Here's a brief (again!) recap of the recent happenings at the Albright household.

Holy cow...that's a decent amount of stuff going on which is why I have been slacking on the blog...I need to take Reid's 8 month pictures tomorrow so those are updated and we will hopefully head somewhere to get his 9 month ones taken in the next month or so...fun times!!
