Most parents look back and wish their child didn't grow up so fast. I know at some point, I will probably think the same thing but right now, getting bigger is going to help Jack more than anything. We had to go to the doctor today for a weight check because he hadn't been gaining as much weight as he should when we went 2 weeks ago. So, we had an appointment today. I had been guessing what weight he was going to be, I was hoping for 9 pounds. We started noticing his newborn sized clothes were getting small and he was looking bigger in his swing and bouncy seat. I wasn't right about his weight, but he was pretty close - 8lbs 13oz!!! It was so exciting to see that number come up! They are happy with his weight gain on the increased calories and we'll keep things as is and head back in for his 6 month check-up in April. For many people, almost 9lbs isn't very big, but for this little man - it's huge - he's over 7lbs bigger than his birthweight! That's a whole baby bigger! WOW!
